Helping you understand ColoTest® screening results and how it works.

ColoTest® is a FIT test, the preferred annual stool screening method for colon cancer according to Colorectal Cancer Alliance and Cleveland Clinic.¹ The product detects blood in stool, which may be an
early warning for: Colorectal Cancer, Diverticulitis, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Colitis and Polyps.

ColoTest® provides fast results as soon as 1 minute, allowing patients to self test at home without the hassle of mail – in lab testing requirements. The test is 98.8% accurate and requires no diet restrictions. If test is positive, patient should consult their doctor. Next steps are likely to include a colonoscopy.

ColoTest® is for individuals who would like to take control of their colon health. Reasons someone might be interested in using ColoTest® include:
  • A negative past experience with colonoscopy
  • Uninsured or insurance does not cover a colonoscopy
  • Think you might be experiencing symptoms related to colon cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, diverticulitis, colitis or polyps

ColoTest® tests for occult or invisible blood in stool, a possible indicator for colon cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, diverticulitis, colitis and polyps. 

ColoTest® is an over-the-counter test available at retailers nationwide. It allows consumers to self test at home with no lab testing, allowing them to read their results at home as soon as 1 minute. 

ColoTest® is an FDA cleared Immunochemical Fecal Occult Blood Test (iFOB) that detects blood in stool which may be an eary warning for: colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, gastrointestinal disorders, colitis and polyps.

ColoTest® tests for blood in the stool as a possible indicator for colon cancer but does not replace a colonoscopy. If you take ColoTest® and receive a positive result, please contact your physician.

ColoTest® is a FIT test designed for use in the comfort of your own home. Each kit comes with complete, easy-to-follow instructions. An abbreviated version of the testing process is included below. For complete instructions, please read the product insert before use.

Start by using the collection paper to deposit the specimen. Use the grooved tip to sample the stool, and insert the sampler with the specimen back into the collection tube. Flush the remaining paper and stool. Squeeze the collection tube onto the test cassette sample well and close the cap with force until it stops to ensure a reaction. Within 2 minutes, read the results window of the cassette. Follow the instructions on the insert to determine whether your result is positive, negative, or invalid.

A positive result may indicate invisible blood in the stool. This should be confirmed by your doctor with additional diagnostic procedures, likely including a colonoscopy.

Receiving a negative result indicates ColoTest® did not detect blood in the stool. ColoTest® should be used as an annual screening method.
